Mark Rylance, Simon Russell Beale, Johnny Flynnโฆ
Great script and sublime acting from everyone.
Set only in his shop, a suit-maker (we learn is a cutter, not a tailor) is the respectable receptacle for communication devices through his shop.
This is a beautiful โslow filmโ in that we are encouraged to fully engage at the risk of missing something.
The speed at which Rylance initiates a complex bare-faced lie / story is impressive and the nuances on Flynnโs face indicate heโs as surprised as anyone that he underestimated him. Russell Beale holds court and is a superb foil for Rylanceโs reticence.
Iโll watch this again in a heartbeat.
