I doubt that not many hearing people would have watched this show, as a deaf person I found it very moving & understated. If it could go out to a wider audience it ‘might’ help people to understand just a little of the difficulties deaf people have to contend with, but it’s hard work, so many will give up I’m afraid. I have found some people are vaguely amused, which is frustrating and insulting, if you get something wrong they’ll often say , Oh ! she probably didn’t hear & move on without trying to rectify the situation as if you’re not even there.
