A "stunningly horrifying" film that's not made for the weak! Classic foreshadowing makes this "A Quiet place 2.0" a must watch.
Character depth is prominent and strong personality shines through, making it easier to feel what the actors and actresses feel. I must say that the protagonist, Sandra Bullock did a brilliant job at keeping the film alive in the dullest of moments.
The only downside is, the suspense didn't really work out the way I'm sure they wanted it to. It felt like an attempt at copying 'World War Z' but not enough actual "monsters" to freak you out.
Although death was a large part of this movie, it felt as though the director (Susanne Bier) put a lot of effort into a "meaningful death". A life didn't feel worthless in this movie, it definitely felt valued.
Overall, a thrilling well told story of the struggles of an "emotionless" Sandra learning to love in the weirdest of ways. A must watch!
