Hollowpox was truly wunderful, a 9-star book!! It was everything I was anticipating from the first two books, topped several hundred times. I really loved the way the rich world-building and characterisation just flowed in this one; it was a magical ride of adventure and whimsical fantasy. The thing I perhaps love most about this series is the absolute character of the humour - witty and charming. In this book there are so many hilarious moments, and these give a stunning contrast to the more scary bits. The parallels between the book and our current situation only made it even better. I absolutely loved (I loved everything about this book, actually) the insights into the Wundrous Society and Wundersmiths, and some brilliant new characters! I would definitely recommend this not just for all middle grade readers, but also for anyone of any age who wants a nice book for a rainy afternoon. Can't wait for Book 4, lots and lots of kudos to Jessica Townsend for writing such an AMAZING series!!!
