characters which are predictable caricatures, a rather insultingly twee interpretation of the pastimes septaguanarians are offered, and completely unbelievable premise of the police sharing their intelligence with amateur sleuths. Not to mention the incredibly convoluted set of twists as the chief suspect also gets murdered, and the links to organised international crime of the protaganists. I really can't believe that this very mediocre book is causing such a storm. A tribute to some very shrewd marketing and highly confused plot. I wonder what septuagenarians would make of it?
