I'm just shy of loving this show. What pulled me in was the soundtrack on the very first episode. Specifically the music used during Nellie's super emotional scenes. It spoke to me. The music and choreography has been an amazing way to bring another level to the emotion that is being conveyed. How many of us have our own soundtracks to help us get through every type of moment in our lives, such as a great play list for a road trip, falling in love or having your heart broken. It was cool to see it come to life instead of staying in our heads and hearts. My only reason for not going 5 stars is at least half the music/dance scenes are bad song selections and super awkward. Not everyone is a dancer and they should have taken that into consideration. If only they would have put as much thought into those scenes as they did the standout ones. Like many of the other reviews, the story line isn't anything new.....what's new was the way in which they told it with the next level of emotion....music.
