This is another attempt by King to blend avant-garde with gruesome horror. Gruesome in that the slimier and drippier the things were, the more frightening the makers thought they would be.
Lots of skipping around without plot connections, unless there is a surprise that will make me slap my forehead snd say โnow I get it.โ
I just donโt think bloody fingers popping out of the sink drain, voices in the pipes(already done), offspring tearing themselves out of vaginas, and slimy winged Chucky-doll demon babies are scary. I would rather shadowy, atmospheric chills that seem more realistic. Time for Stevie to put away his typewriter.
