The CGI was a bit campy in this one (even more so than Black Panther and other typical Marvel effects), not to mention a very predictable story line, but that is actually two of the main reasons I gave this a fantastic review -- despite the movie's flaws, the dialogue, action, and actors' chemistries greatly made up for them, which is usually extremely difficult to pull off. It had a great balance of everything an action/superhero movie would have, and the humorous scenes did not detract from the serious undertones, which many other Marvel movies tend to fall victim to. Culturally, I also think it was on par with the deserved praise Black Panther received from the African American community. As an Asian American, I loved the beauty and emphasis of Chinese mythology and martial arts Shang Chi delivered. It truly felt like it was a film that honored our culture, versus the dirt bag that Mulan had been pulled out from by continuously-ignorant white Disney filmmakers.
Realistically it is a 4.5/5 for me, though rounding up makes more sense than rounding down.
