I purchased this book to read with my elementary-age daughter and highly recommend it, as it is the second book we have acquired from this author. The writing is very detailed and creative, making it engaging and suspenseful, and the storyline effectively addresses childhood hardships, teaching my children valuable lessons about empathy and personal growth:)
