Dont fall for fake reviews by people who haven't even completed the game. The first few hours... it was ok. Not too many issues. First few days... it's ok waiting for it to really open up and be the borderlands I've come to enjoy. Close to the end... just want it to end. Swing and a miss. Not a great game. Bugs and invisible walls galore... especially close to the end game. Got really bad close to the end. Boring gameplay. Just became a chore. Not a huge variety of guns as they lead us to believe. They say there are all these guns... yet they are all the same with very slight variations... and most of them suck. Huge disappointment. Guns are boring. A few cool ones, but expected more interesting and fun guns. Story is awful. It feels draining and negative, and not at all enjoyable. Some humor here and there cant save it. New vault hunters are bland with boring skills, the open world is boring, bland, empty, repetitive, and the prompts for the traversing and platforming rarely work correct. Things falling through the map and phasing through walls on side quests. While exiting and re-entering the game fixes most bugs... the phasing objects through things... that stays around. The game is a mess and honestly it felt like a sludge to even finish it. First borderlands game where I literally couldn't wait to be done. I loved all the games before this one but this is the worst game of the series. With that said... it is borderlands... and we have to support it as fans... good or bad... so that hopefully they make another one. And maybe that'll be up to the standard of the series. Someone said game of the year... I really wish that were true. 1 star out of nostalgia. To say this game is good is wild. Hopefully the $70 dollars goes towards a return to glory for Borderlands 5.
