I pre-ordered this game as soon as it was announced and I have to say the final product i received was not only full of glitches but in comparison to the other two instalments it is hugely disappointing. I will give credit where credit is due, the first two chapters were extremely enjoyable but it’s a shame as there were parts in both of these chapters where I was left feeling unengaged for large portions of the chapter. One thing I liked about the original games was how much was happening and how engaged you felt at almost all times but it feels like a complete 180 with Little Nightmares 3 and its so disappointing as when the chapters are good they are really really good. Moving onto the disastrous third chapter of the game, it was extremely long and drawn out, basically nothing happens until the end and the final sequence was so glitched it took me 40 minutes of repeating the one sequence just to get past it. I turned the game off after this because of how absolutely abhorrent it was to get past it, this one sequence genuinely destroyed my experience with the game and my excitement for the rest of the game as I was spending most of my time worrying about whatever glitch comes next. The final chapter started off promising, no glitches, fun gameplay, engaging environment, although there was a lack of enemies (definitely could’ve used at least 1 real npc chase or fight encounter other than the boss). Then I got to the worst game breaking glitch I have honestly ever seen. There is a sequence with the Alone doll, you have to carry it with you to complete a task, then go and retrieve it back to continue the game, when i went to go and grab it again, it was gone. I literally couldn’t carry the game on any further because the doll had genuinely vanished. I regretfully restarted the chapter in hopes of it being glitch free this time around, only to find a new glitch where Alone refuses to pick up the doll and will only interact with the energy bulb. Again I was stuck with another game breaking glitch where I couldn’t continue even if I wanted to. I wasted 8-9 hours of the past week to play this game and I never even got to finish it. This game has left me feeling nothing but genuine anger and frustration. I also strongly believe the game is far too short. Being shorter than the second game and only having four chapters for a £35 game is just ridiculous. With the longest chapter being by far the worst one. I was left feeling extremely underwhelmed and just flat out exhausted when I eventually turned the game off. I seriously hope these glitches and bugs get seen to as a final release game should not have this many glitches to the point the game becomes unplayable for the players. Overall this game has a lot of promise but it isn’t anywhere near a finished game, it feels extremely rushed, choppy and honestly just plain lazy. They managed to capture the aesthetic of the first two games but nothing else, the gameplay is arguably worse, the bosses are boring (outside the circus guy who unfortunately had the worst chapter) and to top it all off? if you want more chapters which we should have already had in the main game, you have to pay an additional £11.99 which is again overpriced. I am extremely unsatisfied with the game and honestly if you are thinking of buying it, don’t. Wait till it goes on sale or at least till the bugs are patched because the game is just an absolute mess at its current state.
