(No spoilers! Sorry if this rating repeats a lot :() I'm actually SHOCKED that this movie doesn't have 5 stars! For one, it showed Sydney Sweeneys incredible talent in acting. And the plot itself was incredibly interesting, and had me on the hook the entire time I was watching! I have never heard of a movie with a plot such as this one. I had actually seen some who didn't like it, but I frankly found their concerns irrelevant(in my opinion). -"It's not realistic!" It's not supposed to be. It's a horror movie-the amount of chores they did didn't have to be shown on the screen, as it would not have added to the plot. But as the audience, I think we should infer what is happening off the screen. -"Why is it set in modern times, but there isn't much tech used?" Well, it is a church, and it's safe to assume that no one wanted the nuns to leave(watch the movie and you'll understand what I mean, haha!) -"The church isn't realistic either" It is. Old churches look like that-large rooms, intricate carvings, ect. -"It's trying to copy movies like the nun!" It is not. A very popular genre is religious horror, which this and many other movies are in. Not only was Immaculate better with its acting, but a had a more interesting and rarer plot, while still using familiar references and characters(though frankly, I also don't understand why people The Nun so much-I personally hated that movie 😭) So I suggest watching the movie! 🫶
