Amanda Troutman

This anime defined so much of my youth when it came out. I haven't re-watched to see if it aged well though and I almost don't want to.

Goodness gracious this show is so original and beautiful. Every character was so amazing and dynamic. The relationships and dialogues were full of emotion and passion. I can't say enough about this show. I'm not latinx so I can't imagine how impactful this show would be for that community. No mater who you are, the ending is emotional and gorgeous.

I liked it. It's respectful to the original and I love seeing more signs of the original culture. Jasmine is a bomb queen. I like her strength.

I really thought I wasn't going to like this but I can't stop watching it. Toby is a bit problematic with his incompetent fat kid trope but I love that Claire's family is feels authentic and that they subvert a lot of different other kid cartoon tropes. The pacing can be a little weird at times but honestly, it's not enough that it causes substantial problems for me.
