Alita Battle Angel has a NEW following that may have not been a hit with its original (cult) fan base, but the sanitized and simplified characters and story line coupled with great 3D animation and a decent story line that has sprouted a NEW HYBRID following of young and those that simply want something new. Just like Deadpool, Alita has a fresh idea though refined from the original and somewhat morbid and violent world of Iron City and Zalem of the series. Good on James Cameron for trying something new besides the great Avatar Universe, I hope for Alita …2 and, as the fan base has grown from the movie and not the series, hopefully it can satisfy The Cult as well.
