I am Devansh, a 15 year old boy, also an Indian and a huge fan of reading fiction. I know I am quite late in reading this masterpiece and considering my age, you would understand how busy my life is(studies duh!) The fault in our stars movie came back in 2014 and it's book was released in 2012, but that is not how I was introduced to the story. I was introduced to it by a film named 'Dil Bechara', it was based on the book and Sushant had actell well in this one. I loved that movie so much. After the hindi remake, reading the actual novel and watching the English film had always been in my to do list and I am glad I have read the book.
"The Fault In Our Stars" by John Green is mind blowing. Firstly it has been one of the most well written books I have came across in my reading history. Not only the story is interesting but also the dialogues (not too romantic or cheesy ) full of wisdom which will actually make you take a break from your life and think about it. The story touches two characters struggling through Cancer, which was also quite emotional for me because my grandmother passed away due to it. Hazel Grace knows about her disease and has accepted it but her dull life is lit up when she meets Augustus Waters, who is not only handsome but also quite good with metaphors (you'll definitely understand what I mean after you read the book). They start understanding each other, even their dreams unite through 'An Imperial Affliction'. This book is really an emotional rollercoaster and one of the best books you will ever read in your life, as a good reader I won't spoil the book but I want you to say that you will in between or in the end have tears in your eyes.
This paragraph is solely for John Green who will obviously not read it but yeah anyways,
You have changed my life. I always used to get depressed or stressed by just these small exams or tests or any other projects but this book has made me realize the broader view. At least, I am living a healthy life, not everybody gets too. John, your book has made me strong and I want you to know I have cried my heart out in the end. I will definitely read your other books and I want you to know I am crazy about you as Hazel was about Van Houettenne but I know you will be better than him in reality. Thank you for changing my life and making me understand that life is too short to take stress or be tensed about anything and teaching me about pain as in, "That is the thing about pain, it demands to be felt". Seriously thank you for writing this masterpiece, Augustus and Hazel will always remain in my heart.
So my reader friends, what are you even thinking? Go grab this book and finish it in a single read, trust me you won't regret it.
