What a fantastic show ! not only is there magic and swashbuckling but there are moments of love and hope where family proves to be the ultimate power. I thought all of the characters ( the goodies) were endearing and Nell was someone you really routed for . I have seen other comments about the non magical aspect not being true to history , with their being people stemming from different nationalities in the show . I can see how this may have been a problem for some people but it really shouldn't . I feel England is depicted as it should have been , where all people regardless of colour can be of and station . I know this is not how the world is , or was; but it's how it should have been and still should be now . Why not imagine a world with less racism , where the world because more educated sooner than in real life. There is still some reflections on slavery in this which shows the world created by this show is still not completely perfect but it does give hope. I am really hoping that there is a season 2.
