Can anyone tell me why the film was called "Messengers"? They (the ghosts) weren't really trying to communicate (they could whisper) with or threaten or warn the family. So much wasted potential. The wife and I trying to guess the plot accidentally wrote a better movie. Save your time...

The film feels incomplete, everything is technically perfect, great cinematography, masterfully acted and then the ending fizzles. It certainly doesn't have a Hollywood ending, but it does not provide satisfaction for the viewer. This feels more like a drama in a thriller's clothing and after skulking around a thriller's world piquing interest for an hour and a half, provides a little closure for the drama and drops the thriller garb after the movie's climax.
