The styling here exquisite, the dialogue lumpy at times but Ewan does the hard yards with support from the rest of the cast. Best about the film is the creative process and the demands an artist makes on those around him or her. I found the scenes with his lovers unnecessary as his sexual preferences we're offered gratuitously to appeal to a certain democratic. Style is genderless, ageless and timeless.
