Eh... The second one was a little better, but was still pretty lackluster when it came to story telling. I'm not really sure why they're ignoring the gore and scares for the story, but I'm not a writer so what do I know? This movie would have been 100 times better if they ignored the story and focused on the OFFSCREEN DEATH of one of the main characters; what a stupid decision! Also I don't really feel like anything happened in this movie. The main character never goes anywhere, and most the decisions are made off screen or aren't important at all. With each iteration; the story directly contradicts itself and becomes more and more confusing which who really cares; it sucks anyways, but I still wanna see a fun story if you're gonna include one.
