For what it is,it does its job of entertaining. But it's more a thriller than horror. I wasn't particularly scared at all. But pacing and tthe simple plot with the setting is somewhat fresh. The actors did a good job. I mean, I don't know if people 45 thousand years ago were that skilled in communicating and language. Like did they have the concept of North and South back then? But overall I enjoyed the movie. If you are looking for something more than stone age people fighting for their lives against unseen enemy then this won't be for you, as that is basically what it is.

Overall fun. The plot was very predictable (basically revealed the whole story in the trailer) but there was enough variation to keep it fresh. For instance, the girl spoke a different language so the pilot and passenger had a language barrier. The writers didn't feel the need to add arbitrary plot twists (like in the fast and furious series) and went with just plain storytelling of a simple adventure. The graphics were good, although I don't think they were accurate of any dinosaur portrayed. The acting was great for what it was. Adam Driver did what he could and did a good job. There were some jump scares but just enough. Stopped right before it became too overdone. Kids will like this movie. It definitely stands out from the other action movies of the past couple years.

One of the better live action ones. Also helps to watch it as if you haven't watched the first one to rate it on its own. Good music too.
