SPOILERS AHEAD. I feel like the people who gave this 1 star didn’t actually watch the movie. It’s more than just a “horror film”, it’s a message. I personally have never seen a film that truly captures the essence of having suicidal thoughts and ideations or what it’s like to be a loved one of someone struggling with that. Others are saying it started off too slow, but I feel like that was necessary to help the plot along. They did a good job leaving viewers confused on what the movie was actually about, which I enjoyed for this specific movie.
The film truly took me through the same twists and turns as the main character was going through. The confusing, and completely world altering conflict within herself felt shared until I truly learned what was going on. I enjoyed how there was questions unanswered, but the movie still felt complete.
The only reason I took one star off was because I feel as though they should have some sort of warning for viewers who may struggle with suicidal ideation or thoughts. This could be very triggering for those who have or currently struggle with that.
