I'm sure everyone knows about the online only issues already, but it goes so far beyond that, almost everything that made payday 2 great is gone, and I don't understand any of the changes the developers decided to make after being so loyal to the pd2 players, I've now played every heist and a couple more than once, and I'm already sick of the game and just wanna go back to pd2 The new skill system is soooo bad, they took out any means of coming up with certain playstyles, no more going for a saw build, ghost build, or anything like that, these new skills are a trainwreck, and the 3 new modifiers they're centered around are laughable, this needs a total rework The leveling up is so broken, whoever decided it needs to be based on completing challenges needs to be fired immediately, no infamy grinding, no cool cosmetic rewards, eventually you will just complete a heist for money and gun xp which you don't need much of either The selection as a whole is lacking, everyone saying look at payday 2 launch, that was so many years ago its laughable to use that as a template, and look at a game like civilization, civ 5 dlc was just part of civ6, not needed to be added latter, there is way to much missing from payday 2, pre-planning, showing money values of pickups and bags, multi day missions, so much more I don't want to type out, but its a giant step backwards The heists themselves are even pretty bad, sure there is waaaaaay more stealth options, but there isn't anything new about loud, which is fine by me, but to say that these heists are way more intricate and put together is a joke, Firestarter, the big bank, the casino heist, just to name a few, blow all the new heists out of the water, I can't believe how bad the big bank mission in this game is, I loooooved big bank on PD2, and this just disappoints in every way To sum it all up, this game is a giant dumpster fire, im worried even updates can't fix it, and I'm super bummed cause I was ready to sink so many hours into it before I realized how bad it was, I also paid for the gold version cause I believed in starbreeze, I should have learned from the walking dead debacle.....
