I had very low expectations for this movie seeing it is a BlumHouse. They're good at cranking out low budget horror quickly which means we don't actually get much horror or good writing. However I was pleasantly surprised at this one! I'm not a huge werewolf movie fan as they are all slow to build up to the transition of someone becoming a wolf. This movie brought in a different take to a classic genre. No spoilers, but I did appreciate the different viewpoints of characters and the buildup. I took my kids seeing as it was only rated R for gore and they really liked it. Theater is the way to go to see this. It's a dark, quiet movie. I appreciated they didn't use music to build suspense. Sitting in silence while you tried to see around corners in the dark house was classic horror. In fact, I wish they would have had a little more of that. Overall, it's a fun watch and different take on the werewolf genre. I will add it to my collection when it comes out on disc.
