For those who are judging it by today’s standards, shame on you. Given the climate of the time it was rather progressive in how it portrayed women and minorities. A black woman was a member of the bridge crew and had a significant role in the series. Another minority was represented in that crew as well. Were the sets low budget? Yes, it was a low budget TV show of the time, and 55 years ago as well! If you cannot connect with the time period and put the show in an appropriate context and/or you have only watched an episode or two, don’t review it!

Better than the Eddie Murphy interpretations, but not quite as good as Rex Harrison’s. All in all, a fun family movie and worth renting or owning.

Why Tyson? Very condescending delivery, IMO. We are not all 12 years old, but that’s the way he talks most of the time.
