Good old 1950s noir. A little bit stage-bound, but the drama keeps you in rapt attention. Takes place in a New York when New York was New York. Sad, for all the right reasons. Douglas is chomping at the bit a little too hard, but everybody else inhabits their characters beautifully.

I really like the idea of a Korean version of stories like this because The Republic of Korea, almost exclusively in the world, has this great Other casting its poison shadow. This great Anti-Korea like a toxic iceberg over its head, ready to smash Korean freedom and always, always dripping its toxins into Korean society. Citizens from mirror land look like them, talk like them, but intrinsically hate their existance. It's almost a science fiction scenario in Korea. So they always have to ask themselves, when bad things happen, was it them?Was it them, or was it us? Having said that, I need to say the security situation in the drama was ridiculous. People somehow get poisoned, and it happens AGAIN, nobody gets in the ambulance with the bad guy, nobody makes sure it's the authorized ambulance, people keep escaping-and when these things continue to occur, nobody gets fired! But the actors were all good and there were many great moments of dialougue and drama. And Koreans are all so CLEAN looking! I have to shower before I watch it.😊

It's interesting to me, as a Westerner, to see Asians completely immerse themselves in a Western art form. I'm not really sure if such a school exists in that part of the world. Anyway, did they die or what? It's only twenty years later, right? Do they not currently exist in that movie's modern world, a couple in their late 30's? One other thing-Why did the Sky character say Rain is mad- she never knew her. Right?

I thought it looked good and was well done. All the money it cost was up there on the screen-good CGI. Don't really follow why certain characters died at the end, if they managed to follow the avoidance rules, but so what, it's all a hoot. Like many horror movies, a live cartoon, but this one with good production values.

It was alright. It's a woman's movie both in its conception and its intended audience. I like survival stuff which this was a little light on, but the actress is beautiful, Canada is beautiful, and the front story and the back story are both journeys with satisfying closure. With me it would have been over on the first episode: just burn the woods down; they'll come.

You need mystery to sort of fuel interest and to savor cinematic offerings. I'm trying not to spoil it for people, but the central, core mystery is the female lead going to the bad guy's place with him and doing what she did. I thought she wanted to erase the answering machine. They couldn't have predicted that or her partner's perfectly timed reappearance. And can you just walk around Montreal and buy knockout drugs? Because everybody seems to have them. But mostly, the movie seems to indict female motivation and morals in the three most prominant female characters.

It's the mordant guy and the chirpy guy. Matthau and Lemon. Will Smith and Alfonso Rubiero. Schwarzenegger and Tom Arnold. Party scene straight out of True Lies. A weird lack of freshness-of new ideas in the stunts and plot twists. They all do their job but Johnson normally plays alpha winners and he is the butt of the jokes in this one. The whole thing didn't sit right with me.

You never relate to the characters. I don't know how a movie gets you to take the journey with on screen people, but this one doesn't achieve that and you just sit there, watching. It's another amazing chunk of Hollywood CG images and visions, but if you're not along for the ride, what's the point? Some risk should have been present, like having one of the kids refuse to believe, and perhaps making some attempt at explaining who she is. Is there a race of magic people? Her cousin Streep had some and the original had Uncle Albert. Who are these people?

Well, they say if you don't want people to be predjudiced, then don't act like the stereotype. I don't see how an abused and disowned Dalit breaking her marriage vows with a truly good man is supposed to be progressive. Husbands, movie audiences-- people seek virtue. It wasn't on display in the protagonist, except in the mind of the writers.

I didn't get the ending, I never was sure Matt Damon was invited to Underground Utopia, I don't understand the scheme that his rich friend had in mind when he took Damon to Norway, I don't understand why there was a ghetto in Leisure Land, I don't get whether we have less cells or smaller ones when shrunk (if they are smaller we should have the same weight), I don't see how the small and the not could have the same monetary system.
