Is this show supposed to be a comedy? The morals and manners displayed are not typical of the period as are not the audacious costumes. Even the hair is incorrect. The sex scenes are not required and are ridiculous. Most women watch period movies/series for the wholesome demur characters where romance can happen with a touch of a hand not the constant "roll in the hay". I found myself fast forwarding through the sex scenes and trying to get on with the story. After watching this series, I would never read the books. What a big disappointment!
