Quigley Provost-Landrum

My husband started watching this show before me. I was not entirely enthusiastic at first. While I enjoy watching older cartoons I didn’t feel like it was something I needed every morning. Like my attachment to MST3K, regular exposure brought about a sudden revelatory affection. For the the first year or so I found the cartoons enjoyable but really grew to love the other characters and the short sketch comedy bits. Goldie and Dippy were brilliant. I also loved Officer Newtotheforce and Detective Abouttoretire. Really funny and a nice way to start the day. Now the balance of the show has changed significantly and is mostly cartoons (a mix of excellent old ones and incredibly bad newer more modern ones) and actual trivia quizzes rather than the hilarious, weird fictional game show stuff with Mr. Quizzer (another character I preferred in his previous incarnation). Still, despite the disappointing changes, my husband and I continue to watch in order to enjoy the golden age of film animation as well as Bill and Toony. Also, I wish y’all would bring back Sventoonie. It was weird but fun. Thanks for all your efforts. They are appreciated.
