I really enjoyed the first few episodes and was hooked on Sloane and Lena’s storylines, HOWEVER, I found Gia’s storyline and behavior to be disturbing and problematic. She is a narcissist at best and behaves like a sociopath openly manipulating people with a false sense of intimacy to get what she needs out of them. Her gross selfishness and self absorption was disgusting and don’t get me started on how she treated that man. She left him three times, and not with the dignity and respect he deserved, but like a coward each time. What is most troubling is that her character is based on the author and if I were the author, i would be too ashamed to see myself portrayed that way which just cements the idea that she has no conscience.
