Let me just make this clear, i am being very generous while giving this 2 stars.
( I'll try not to give spoilers but i don't think you'll be interested in watching this movie after this review)
This movie's main idea is kind of like philauri.
The main protagonist bumps into a ghost then he help the ghost in finding the love of his life. However in philauri, good background details and back story was provided whereas this mess of a movie doesn't really provide that backstory, it's just not very clear.
I wasn't able to feel for or connect to the characters very much and the emotions felt shallow and just surface level.
One of the important plot points is that when they finally find Manju (ghost's love interest) she is like 55 yrs old and still wears the hairstyle she used when she was 16. This was important because it helped them recognise her even though they still referred to a photograph I don't think they would have even stopped to refer to the picture if it weren't for the hairstyle. Also, the ghost (who is said to be the grandson of the main protagonist) still behaves like 16 yr old when he died years later. One would think he must have changed but no
Another thing is that they just found their way mystically to Manju. I mean what?
And their cast isn't the best. They hired a person who doesn't speak Punjabi at all to speak Punjabi. As a Punjabi speaker myself,I was cringing the whole time he was speaking Punjabi in his weird accent and hearing his butchered pronunciation.
The movie tries to be comedic and emotional at times but doesn't really reach that level.
Tbh I don't think anybody would watch this if Jacky Shroff wasn't casted.
I wish you never have to watch this
Have a good time not watching this movie.
