I have way too many words of praise for this film. From the story itself to all aspects of production in the film, it excels and treats the issues with sobriety and elegance. Aging is without discrimination, we will all be there one day so the film is relevant to young, as well as older, audiences. Still Mine provides a glimpse of the abilities and contributions our elders can still make in their lives. It is a vigorous story of determination and competence. What makes it even better is that it's a true story and not some tired, re-cycled yarn out of a writers' lab.

Who was the dork that ok'd the decision to cancel this series? The bigwigs said that Call the Midwives was a more popular series but I say Midwives was the same story over and over again with different faces as the people in peril. Their decision was a very poor one. Home Fires was a wonderful series.
