A Sherlock Holmesian mystery but it is a silly bright-eyed boy and his soft boiled egg (hard exterior, soft inside 🐣) ex-cop grandfather, who is brought back to proverbial life after 10 years of widowing, by our oft lovably stupid and always gentle hearted protagonist.
The narrated audiobook is exceedingly heart warming and funny, giving an aftertaste of going home on a full stomach after an evening of lively thanksgivings dinner banter.
An unusually uplifting murder mystery series that I look forward to demolishing. Also answers the question: what would a himbo (in the most complimentary sense) look like in the era of steam engines?
