Feels like equally a return to form and a lot of new. So far the story is top notch (as to be expected from NRS). The combat is amazing, with combo building feeling fluid again (mk11 felt too rigid in that dept. to me). It takes the best of mk9, x, and 11 to craft a masterpiece in the franchise. Fan favorites originals characters almond all return in some capacity, and fans of the 3D era have some options too. Q lot of people have qualms about the invasion mode but I find it's a great change from the krypt of previous games. Gives you more to do to unlock things and .aster characters. This game was enough to get me to buy a PS5, so that's gotta go for something. Hands down in my top 3 Mortal Kombats, if not number 1. 10/10 would recommend to any fighting game fan. It feels like a definitive MK game. Front to back fun.
