Bond got such a weak villain who offered him too many opportunities to escape & live. While bond on the machine, why will he set the machine to bring his hands closer to each other? You're talking about a top tier agent/assassin. Then, why would he casually let the woman go to meet him in the machine without having a security guard man either of them closely. Bond is shooting the villains helicopter from the water body and for some reason after several shots, they don't think to move towards the land/city much further away from the water. It would have been fun if bond got the real Hans Lander as an opponent. He'd be dead 1 hr into the movie.
