Drake Park

Disclaimer: I have been a fan of the franchise since the second games release. This movie was very much nostalgic for the average FNAF fan, it gave very little room for new comers to feel at home, but enough room to leave the door open for exploration and discovery into the FNAF universe. The pacing was okay for most of film, the only problem I had was the bipolar attitudes the animatronics had. One minute they are killing machines and the next they are building pillow forts. I know FNAF can have a specific kind of humor, some of it landed well and some things didn’t land so well. The horror was there but later overshadowed, I feel like they could have been a little darker and still delivered the message and story that they intended. I think this franchise deserves another film better exploring the past mysteries of the series. Overall this first film was enjoyable, nostalgic, and unique in its own right.
