One of the best animations, you'd literally fall in love with the visuals. Violet is just so pure and so is the series and the corresponding movies. Make sure to have a box of tissues or a napkin with you (incase you don't wanna wet your pillow with tears) if you decide to watch this masterpiece. It will make you feel everything as if it's your own emotion, the yearning, longing, love,despair, guilt, regrets, the after effects of a war etc...... Ah, when it comes to war, one could clearly feel the devastation that it leaves behind and I who enjoyed reading about the world War 1 and 2, truly wish, that there will be no further wars ever... wars aren't something that should happen or be taken lightly and this anime will make you realize that... You should give it a go if you can enjoy emotional dramas as well, there's not one bad thing about it.
