A Crime Thriller revolves around two diamonds and five main characters (three of them eventually murdered by the end of the book) . There are two parallel plots. On the one hand, there is Prem and Arun, two siblings, wherein the latter murdered and the former thought to take revenge. On the other hand, there is Alice, her mother- Naithy, and stepfather-Tony. Alice killed Tony after he raped her several times and tried to kill her mother. All these characters intertwined with each other. There was theft, smuggling, rape, murder, and what's not. Indeed, a good plot but with bad editing and a lot of unnecessary description of the characters, making the first half of the book monotonous. The story kept a fast pace in the second half but, as we move towards the end, it suddenly and abruptly ends, which makes the visualization of all the events a little vague. The book has filled with a lot of violence and sexual fantasies that could be easily avoidable. There are also repetitive lines/information here and there which is a turn off for me. Rating:2/5 P.S.: Heinous crime like rape has been portrayed very casually and justified by the character (rapist), which can be disturbing to many of us. I condemn that part. However, I like the strong female characters.
