Jungle Cruise is moderately enjoyable. The cringy dad jokes were alright, though they don't make up for actual dialogue. Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson's characters were completely stereotypical; however, they played them well, despite flat-as-hell story arcs. The only character that changed was the gay brother. You can't pull things out of different movies and expect people not to notice. The entire movie was a mix of The Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones with a splash of Jumanji. Seriously, Disney screenwriters should figure out how to make a story without drawing plot elements from successful films. The fact they have done it so much is probably the reason no one likes Disney's output. Pandering to the audience by casting talented actors and actresses and having them act out cliched scripts that have predictable storylines and bland characters is the only reason Disney still employs the screenwriters. The actors can only do so much.
