This is painfully terrible. I watch the original every 2 years including yesterday and this I just watched today pales in comparison. It honestly feels disrespectful that it's even on disney plus next to the original. They removed the good like mushu etc and replaced it. She looks nothing like a man in the least, and didn't even cut her hair. The 5 star reviews have to be fake, because I have seen better Chinese and k-dramas (both of which I love) than this and Disney has no excuse with how much money they have. Aladdin was well done, and the lion king, although boring, was like a copy and paste real adaptation at least, which honestly would have been better than the sad excuse for a movie we actually received. I mean come on her love interest is supposed to be the commander which obviously allows him to spare her life after she is wounded. It's not a common soldier with no real power, and she definitely doesn't voluntarily reveal herself given the great dishonor as well as death that would be the result. Just painful
