A big let down.
Out of all that's wrong with the book, look at the plot.
Ram literally thunders into Lanka with 80k troops and war elephant corps. And guess what, Ravan has no effing idea !!
A thousand storm troopers stealthily sneaking in to assassinate the king ? Believable and exciting. But man, this whole army-secretly-marching-over-the-sea-bridge is something else.
I get his scouts were killed and diversions but cannot simply believe the richest king cannot keep check on his little country.
Worth reading, no matter how torturous it is. Hope the next one isn't as bad, for some reason this series has me hooked.
