I found the American version TERRIBLE! I hated the pedestrian way the stories were handled. As a viewer I don't like having to be fed pablum. The foreign version is so superior, from the cast to the handling of the storyline. I was saying to my husband that it lulls you into a drowsy feeling until halfway through the year's series and then it just takes off, full bore, until you can't breathe and you feel like watching until that year's series ends. I am grateful for MHZ for both putting it on Hulu and releasing on DVD. I will be adding it to my collection.
