The film relies on the belief of actual demons, and their psychological aspect of attack on the weaknesses of man. No cheap jumpscares necessary. The plot, though simple, is not found lacking. But, it's leagues off from the psychological thrill of Hannibal. Nevertheless, Russell Crowe breathed life into the role, and the supporting cast are equally talented, to say the least. Worth a watch over the weekend.
