I have every single book written by Daniel Silva, and have enjoyed them immensely. His ability to develop characters, plots, put us in places we will never visit makes his books a delight - until this one. Like so many others who have reviewed The Cellist, I wait eagerly for his new book each year. This one has been a great disappointment, and will be the last one of Silva's books that I purchase. I have read his books to enjoy a wonderful mystery and to make sure Gabriel survives each adventure - not to be pummeled with Silva's liberal political views and disparagement of former President Trump. Silva's inclusion of his view of events that have taken place made the book disappointing to say the least. He has lost me as a fan.
