I was so ready to not like this live action, but holy hell this is so good! The actor playing luffy is really good in his own way; quite intense with his acting portrayal at times, but still manages to retain aspects of anime luffy’s carefree happy-innocent idiotic character, but it doesn’t actually bring down the movie. It’s a different take on the character but the first time it’s not actually a bad thing which is completely unexpected! All the characters are spot on in when compared to their anime counterparts which is a bloody godsend since the writers and directors of every adaption that have comes out lately have tried to put their own take on things that don’t need it and end up ruining it. This has not happened here and o think that’s why this live action is so successful! IT STAYS TRUE TO THE SOURCE! About bloody time we have one that actually is a REAL live action, NOT an adaption!
