This was terrible, utter garbage that was so hard to watch to the point I dropped it at ep 3. None of it seems authentic. All the "contestants" come across as paid actors reading off of scripts. They don't act like human beings that are in a SQUID GAME show. Everyone is miserable, and exaggerates their reactions and stuff so much despite being on a game show adapted from what I'd assume to be a show they all watched and enjoyed considering they applied to be on it. No one is talking or even mentioning the original show. All the people fill in those generic lame game show tropes and stereotypes. Don't even get me started on the "drama" they try to create with these "characters". In the first ep, one girl started crying and broke down because she couldn't half squat for another 5 seconds??? Seriously? Unless they had them in their frozen positions for hours, who seriously acts like this? This was just the tip of the ice berg, everything is so scripted and fake, it's so hard to watch. The editing is so pretentious for an otherwise silly and corny concept. The show takes itself so seriously and dramatically its ridiculous. Netflix, as a capitalist mega corporation is making their own "squid game" for entertainment... inspired from the original show that was a critque on capitlism with the original squid game's purpose showing how human suffering in a capitalistic system can be turned into entertainment for elites.... This whole idea of a "Netflix's squid game the challenge" is incredibly stupid and ironic in the first place, the least you can do is be self aware. I'll stop ranting for now but I was incredibly disappointed with this show. Utter garbage, not touching it ever again. Just watch the Youtube Mr Beast squid game show if you want more squid game reality content. Its superior in everyway and most importantly, fun to watch. The only credit I'm giving this stupid netflix show is its production value. The sets are amazing and beautiful but thats it. Thats all they have.
