This movie has nothing to do with Howard Plye's 1883 light hearted and humorous children's fiction novel, except in title, which they used to market a simply awful and useless film. King Richard never died, John was prince, never the king. Robin came from wealth and priveledge and lost it while serving on the crusades due to John's taxation. The sheriff of Nottingham was Robin's nemesis, not the French. Marion was a ward of the throne and not a Locksley. Friar Tuck was a vagabond. Little John met Robin and Will Scarlett on a bridge. Scarlett was not a marksman. Robin was from Locksley not born in Nottingham. If you enjoyed this movie, you're either a mellinial or just believe that newer is always better. Which just isn't the case this time.
