I really love this film. Very emotional. I’m sure realistic! What i find interesting. Is the sets are very sparse. The lighting was quite dark too. Is this so we won’t be distracted from the horrific storyline? I’m not sure. It also made it look like it was set in the 80’s. You really feel for Eric. He’s always being picked on. Plus his parents weren’t any good either. I know the mum was ill. But the dad was useless. He had no support. Everyone was against him. So when the other character came along. In a way you were pleased for him. Little did we know what was going to happen…

Beautifully filmed. The light’s like a painting. But it’s too bloody slow. I thought the story was going to be interesting. But alas. No!

Lovely, romantic, passionate film. Likeable characters. So of course you care what happens to them. Lovely sets too. They live in a big cosy family home. The kitchen makes me want to cook big bowls of pasta. Big pots of steaming hot curry. This film shows the difference between loving & being INLOVE. Cher was great. Every time she speaks, i feel she’s going to break out into a chorus of ‘do you believe in life after love???’ This is a cosy, sweet film to watch. Especially on a cold winter’s night, on the sofa under your duvet with a hot bowl of minestrone!!! (& a glass of red wine!!)

Fantastic psychological thriller. The softly spoken, spoilt rich boy 'predators' really add to the shock value. They're terrorising for fun, to humiliate totally respectable people. I've seen it several times. But it never bores me & still gives me the shivers. I've got the German & American version. Adds to the theory. Don't judge a book by it's cover...

I love, love this film. (Especially when i’ve had a few ‘sherbets’). Steve was at his best in this. He really played a jerk beautifully!

I thoroughly enjoyed this well made drama. Very realistic. You empathise with the characters. Very good script & great locations. All filmed in Glasgow. I’d definitely give this 4 stars.

I love Goldie Hawn. I’m not used to her taking the ‘back seat’ though. But she still played a witty character. The son & daughter were great. (I’ve never seen these actors before. The locations & music were really exciting. I was a bit sceptical at first. But from the first scene, i thought i’d give it a go. Definitely worth watching & just long enough!

It’s a weak copy of all gangster films. You can’t compete with Goodfellas & Godfather 1&2. It didn’t have a threatening atmosphere for me. Joe pesci & of course Robert De Niro. (Raging Bull is fantastic). I think i’ve o ‘deed’ on the mafia!!!
