I did not expect this series to affect me like it has. One other reviewer has stated that you should be prepared to shed a tear and to be affected by it for some days afterwards. I would agree with this particularly if you binge it over two days. This series should be compulsory for people who were passing from school or uni to the work in the 80s as there is so much revealed in this series which, shamefully, at that time I was not aware of. The acting is superb and the although the subject matter may invoke strong emotions particularly in the latter episodes I can recommend this series wholeheartedly. Anyone in their early twenties in the 80s needs to watch this.
