Such a beautifully written and evocative book. I started reading it this morning and couldn’t put it down. Already 1/3 of the way through and soaking up every word. You grasp the overwhelming emotion and culture shock at the self-imposed isolation in a totally foreign culture, with a beloved cello and Bach for comfort and solace. High recommended.
