Amlan Chakraborty

Contrary to the widely received negativity, I found this slow burning Sally Rooney adaptation to be very authentic in it's approach of depicting the complexity of human life, relationships and all that comes along with it. The lack of dialogues and the enigmatic undertones of the camera set in the perfect tone for each of the actors to embody these deeply flawed yet real characters and bring them to life. We pick up on what is not often said, and that gives us a deeper understanding of the situation around them as they try to understand the ways of their hearts.
