A good one time watch. The story is woven very well. Never looked at the watch or time. The plot and the climax was excellent but the ending could have been a stronger and firmer one. Tovino does justice to his role as Maniyan, but Surabhi rocked. Amazing talent on display. Basil throws in his brilliance as good supporting actor. Ajayan’s (Tovino) heroine is a cutie.

Okay. A varied plot in a dull and isolated setting with 2 characters mostly. The first half lagged while the second ended quickly and abruptly. One likeable aspect is that the story line is not predictable but then is there a story after all.

The Hindi movie ANIMAL (2023) is a lengthy film with a lackluster storyline. It fails to engage the audience with any nail-biting or thrilling moments, and the violence depicted is comparable to those in recent Tamil movies like Jailer and Leo. The premise of a son seeking revenge on behalf of his big industrialist father, after he is attacked, lacks a common sensical story plot. Moreover, the ease with which the characters commit crimes and return to India on a private jet, without any law enforcement presence, is hard to believe.
